Legalman Senior Chief (SCW) Kelley Sartain was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She enlisted into the United States Navy in November, 2001.  She graduated bootcamp Great Lakes Naval Recruit Training Command, Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Naval Justice School (A), Newport, Rhode, Island. She graduated from multiple leadership schools, NAS Pensacola, Florida.  She earned her (SEABEE COMBAT WARFARE) 2006. 
 
Senior Chief attended Shelton State Community College, University of Maryland University College and the University of Alabama.
